Hello to you in 2020!
So far the year’s been off to a good start. It’s the year of the rat (my year!) and I will be turning 36. Super excited to be in my late 30’s! 🙌
I love setting goals because it helps me be a better person and live with intention.
Here are my Goals for the Year of the Rat:
Spend 5 hours a week learning a new skill.
I’ll be learning Java, a programming language. I’m currently write in a few languages so this will add to my professional arsenal.
I am also learning photography! I bought a Sony Alpha 7III and some fun lenses to play with. If you’re in the Seattle area and would love to be my muse, please hit me up!
Travel more. This is on my list every year. To date we have Brazil, Hawaii, and St. Louis booked. We typically leave Seattle in the winter when it gets too cold. I created a travel destination generator. Use it to plan your next trip! Right now, it’s telling me I need Antigua and Barbuda in my life. *checks plane ticket prices*
GET OUT! I plan to go camping 3 times and go on at least 10 hikes in 2020. I spent too much time working and strategizing in 2019. If you’re in Seattle, let’s go hiking!
Spend more time with family. Last year my niece was born (first grandchild!). I’ll be visiting her in April. I’ll also be going home to OC to visit family at least 4 times this year. When you get busy and your family is so far away, it gets hard to see them. This year I’ll make an effort to spend more time with them because time is short and family is important.
Do you have goals for 2020? Having attainable and realistic goals is very important, especially if your life is already super busy. If you want some company while setting your personal goals, feel free to reach out to me!
