The Vinyasa is a large rectangle-shaped scarf that buttons down the side to create an infinity looped scarf. The buttons allow you to transform the scarf into many styles.
lululemon has also created multiple prints, colors and fabrics so that you can pick a scarf to match your outfit.
If you have a Vinyasa scarf and have been trying to find different ways to wear it, you’ve come to the right place.
In this article, we’ll discuss all the different ways we know how to wear a lululemon Vinyasa scarf.
Let’s get started!
Different Ways to Wear a lululemon Vinyasa Scarf
#1 One Over the Shoulder
This super simple style will keep you warm and looking chic.
Start with the Long Dangle style and loop one of the ends around the front of your neck and over your shoulder. Let the opposite end dangle down your back.
#2 Wrap Dangle
To create the Wrap Dangle, take 1/3 of your scarf over one shoulder. Start to loop the remainder of the scarf around your neck and let the other end dangle down your opposite shoulder at the front of your torso.
#3 Loop Dangle
This style will keep your neck super warm from all the layering!
To create The Loop Dangle, fold your scarf in half and bring the scarf around your neck.
With one hand, find the hole that you’ve created (by folding the scarf in half) and loops the ends of the scarf through the hole. Let the ends hand down the front of your chest.
You can also wear the ends of the scarf over your shoulder sides for a different look.
#4 The Long Dangle
To create the Long Dangle, unbutton the scarf and hang it over the back of your neck. Let the scarf drape down the front of your body and you’re done!
#5 The Long Loop
To create the Long Loop, keep all the buttons snapped and simply loop it over your head and let it hang down the front of your body.
#6 Classic Infinity Scarf
To create the Classic Infinity Scarf, start with the Long Loop and twist the scarf once and loop it over your head.
#7 The Bandit (Front and Back)
To create the Bandit, start with the Classic Infinity Scarf and find the end with buttons.
Unsnap 6-8 buttons and let one corner of the scarf hang down the front of your body and the opposite down behind you.
I love this style because it screams badass and looks very Western.
#8 The Twist Front Dangle
This style is fun and looks more complicated than it actually is.
To create the Twist Front Dangle, start with the Long Dangle and twist the scarf once at the front of your body.
Takethe top 1-2 buttons and snap them behind your neck. Let the other ends hang down the front of your body.
#9 The Twist Front Loop
After you’ve achieved the Twist Front Dangle, simply button the first bottom buttons to create a waterfall scarf look.
#10 Halter II
Start with an unbuttoned scarf and wrap it behind your back. Take the edges of the scarf to the front of your body. Take the top corners of your scarf and cross them at your neck. Snap the first 1-2 buttons behind your neck to keep the halter in place.
This style allows the scarf to drape attractively behind your lower back and offers some bum coverage too!
#11 The Twist Front Cape
To create the Twist Front Cape, start with Halter II and simply tuck your arms into the scarf and bring the draped sides over your shoulders.
I often snap 3-4 buttons behind my neck for a tighter fit.
#11 The Shoulder Wrap
Take 1/3 of your scarf over your right shoulder. Take the remainder of the scarf and wrap it around you and tuck it under the front 1/3 of the scarf you started with. The fabric should tuck into itself securely.
#12 The Shoulder Cape
The Shoulder Cape is perfect for adding warmth to any outfit.
Start with an unbuttoned scarf and wrap it behind you.
Takethe first 1-2 snap buttons at the top of the scarf around and behind you and snap them behind your neck.
#13 The Open Front Halter
This Open Front Halter Style drapes over the body and is very comfy.
Start with an unbutton scarf and bring it to the front of your body. Take the top 1-2 buttons and snap them behind your neck.
You have the option to let it dangle or take the bottom buttons and snap them behind your back.
#14 The Shirt
Wrap the scarf over your shoulders and snap 2-3 buttons at the front of your stomach. Snap 1-2 buttons behind you to complete the Shirt.
#15 The Cardigan
To create the cardigan, simply unsnap the front buttons of The Shirt variation.
#16 Twist Front Cardigan
This adds a funky twist to your cardigan and changes the attitude of the scarf completely.
To create this style, start with the cardigan and make a single knot with your cardigan ends.
Snap the first buttons together and pull the fabric to tighten the knot.
You are actually not tightening the knot. The buttons will hold the knot in place so that you can feel secure in this style all day long.
#17 Halter III
This halter variation offers more warmth for your neck.
Start with the Long Dangle and cross the scarf at the front of your body. Take the two first buttons behind your back and snap them closed.
#18 The Helmet
Start with the Bandit scarf style and simply lift the looped scarf section over your head to create a helmet.
You can also create a helmet from the Classic Infinity style.
#19 The Vest
Say hello to your new VESTIE!
Take the little hook/loop at the back half of your scarf and snap close the top first buttons through the loop. Slide your arms into the two holes you’ve created to wear your Vinyasa scarf as a vest.
We love this style because it offers a lot of back coverage, which many of the other styles do not offer.
#20 The Pareo
Use your vinyasa scarf to cover your bum while you’re at the beach!
Simply keep the scarf unbuttoned and wrap it tightly around your waist.
Tuck the top corner of the scarf into the top hem of the “skirt” and voila! You’ve got yourself a pareo!
#21 The Blanket
Ha! Yeah, we’re dead serious. Use your scarf as a blanket and drape it over your body when it’s cold outside. You’re welcome!
